Launching CoursePro
When we first launched CoursePro in September 2024, training had to be delivered in small, manageable chunks—time was tight, and we couldn’t pull staff away for long sessions. About Joanne Wilson
I’ve been in the swim industry for 20 years, starting at reception, moving into teaching, and now working as a Swim School Supervisor. I do what I do because I love it—teaching kids to swim, watching them grow in confidence, and even helping teenagers and adults who never learned as children. It’s incredibly rewarding.
My journey into swim teaching started when my son, Alex, took lessons. I got in the water with him and fell in love with teaching—I just knew I had to make it my career!
Outside of swimming, I’m passionate about running for well-being. After recovering from breast cancer, I set myself the challenge of running the Manchester Marathon to raise funds for cancer research. It was tough (26.2 miles is a long way!), but it was a goal worth achieving. Running continues to be a huge part of my physical and mental well-being today.
